The Blue Dance for 36 strings was originally written in 1994 and first performed by Thee Akoluthic String Orchestra, conducted by Carl Russell at the Royal Northern College of Music. As a piece of music it is meant to represent the spirit of the tribal drumming ritual in an attempt to transmute the sounds of the strings of the orhcestra into the flutes, whistles and drums of the ritual. |
