due to unscrupulous practices on the part of the management of mp3.com; starting april 1st, 2001; the cosmic relief project and all other projects connected with quirkwerks will begin being phased out from this site. the phase out will take approximately two months in my estimation until all of the music that can be heard here will be available elsewhere in a medium that is not controlled solely by capitalism and preferential treatment of artists. what will remain on mp3.com will be a manifesto of what actions have occured and their reasoning as well as links to where the music here has been moved to. i hope all other artists of mp3.com as well as its visitors will see clearly the agenda of this site (the benefit of taking your money rather than aiding independant music); and will stop purchasing any products sold or related to the site (in essence, a boycott on all products that are peddled via banner adverts above each page and in mp3.com's newsletters). this is a move that has been coming and with the actions taken by the site as of april 1st, 2001; i hope that all are fully aware of mp3.com's now apparent ploys.
thank you for supporting cosmic relief and all of the other quirkwerks projects; we will resurface very soon.
