A Hip hop-Dancehall crossover...We did this track b/c we noticed how trendy dancehall reggae was becoming. When Xman let us hear his verses, they were originally slated to go on a beatjackin' for a mixtape. We got him to drop them on this track & now, we have the ILLest original club joint the Crescent has seen in a Looooong Time!!!! |

A hot ass sample w/ an ILL ass MC...C-Zar actually did these verses for another song & we put it on this track just to see how it would ride. He's one of the best trash talkers in the city & his lyricism is hard to beat. FYI-In the 3rd verse, he names all of hot mc’s in the city of New Orleans. Notice that none of the famous are mentioned…:p |

This is some powerful music...We got this idea while watching one of the "Rocky" movies. We heard a small piece of the score we felt would make an awesome track. This track only, actually, contains a minute part of the total sample; we just flipped the hell outta it! |

A groovy soul sample track...Even before we began sampling, we always knew this Jackson 5 song would be a great hip hop track. This is one of the first sample beats we did. It's a few years old but you can't tell! |

A gutter interpretation of history's scariest movie...We got this idea back when the Excorcist was rereleased in theatres. When we heard the pianos in the beginning, we knew we had a track! The problem was, after we interpolated the pianos, we didn't do anything else to it. The idea sat there for about a year before we concieved what it ended up becoming. |

Our Remix to Rainy Days...When we did our first cd, DangerAce Gaimez, we ended up getting alot of attention. An A&R rep for Def Jam, Delano, heard our cd & told us about this remix cd Murda Inc was about to release. He got us the acapella of the song & wanted us to remix it.
At 1st, we didn't wanna do it b/c we both hated that song already but we saw it as a challenge.
When we finished it, Delano thought it was awesome & he said when he let the Murda Inc reps hear the song, they thought it was awesome.
Great, right? WRONG!!!
About 3 months later, we were told they weren't gonna use the track b/c they said we "incorporated a sample they could not get clearence to use."
It pissed me off 'cuz on the Murda Inc remix album, they used plenty of samples from the same people we used the sample from (debarge/2pac)

A Great remix to a great song...Anybody who's a true fan of R&B knows that Blackstreet was the sh%t when David Hollister was with them (no disrespect to the new members). We came across this acapella & we put this track together fairly quick. This is the kind of song that makes you wann get close to your significant & do stuff. Our remix is hot & hopefully, the master of New Jack, Teddy Riley, would approve. |

An R. Kelly-ish, 8 bar loop groove track...This is an ILL track just on the basis that since we did it, we've had soooo many singers trying to get this one from us. Unfortunately for them, this one is for our own personal album. Any fans of traditional R. Kelly music should enjoy this track. |
