Here is a sampling of Samuel Kim's electronica 'alter ego' --
Mount Vermont. The idea for the name came about
while looking at a poster promoting the "Hinterland" album
by AIM.
The poster reminded me of going to the Rockies as a
child and visiting small towns in view of the mountains.
Whenever I visit such towns, I'm filled with a
quiet sense of nostalgia.
Mount Vermont is an imaginary name of one of those many
mountains I may have passed as a child. The name evokes
not so much a
memory of a physical location, but the memory of a
feeling.
Sometimes, my music takes me to Mount Vermont.
