This song was recorded directly from my synthesizer to the PC, and was one of the most primitive and earlier recordings I've made. Some of the key elements inlude an auto-arpeggiated harp/acoustic guitar and various forms of traditional African percussion. The brass section is added into the mix at the songs climax using simple overtones. |

This was the first orginal piece of music I recorded at my school in our music theory/composition class. I later had it accompany a slide-show of varrious intereseting images including the artwork of Michaelangelo and Salvador Dali. The song was recorded into the MIDI sequencer Sibelius using a film score template and the sounds of and Edirol sound card. The main instrument is a clarinet which follows a unique ostinato pattern, and mixed with other woodwinds that rythymically mimic the ostinato, but in harmony. Another ostinato is the usage of the "Bladerunner" stlye timpani percussion. |

One of my first originals which I have now recreated and perfected...somewhat. The drum and bass groove you here is created solely by my Alesis synthesizer, and is comprised of a velo pad plus a high hat (From DM5 drum machine) and artificial drum beat (from the Alesis patch samples). The microphone is going through a "big" equalizer and minor delay effect. Other elements include a stereo piano and a synth "M" lead wave. There is also a mic'd tambourine added to the second vocal track. Enjoy! |
