When I was last back in the UK in '93, I met an old girlfriend that I hadn't seen for about 25 years. She was sitting under this very tatty old oak tree that looked as if it was about to fall on her head. She told me all her troubles and I told her mine. A great way to spend a fun afternoon. I came back to Hong Kong and eventually wrote this song in early '94. |
