Rick Scott is an internationally renowned Vancouver based entertainer who for the past seven years has devoted himself to performing for young people. The song ANGELS DO was written for his seven year granddaughter -Mielle -who was born with Down Sydrome. It is taken from Rick' s PHILHARMONIC FOOL C.D. which was nominated for a 1996 Juno Award and 1997 Pacific Music Industry Association Award for Best Children's Album.
For the past three years Rick has been spokesperson for the Down Syndrome Research Foundation and has performed charity concerts for similar organizations around the world. The Down Syndrome Foundation will use this video internationally in their ongoing campaign to normalize attitudes towards Down children and and we will use it to further promotion of Rick's music around the world. |

This celebration of grandmothers was originally written for Fred Penner's Place on CBC TV. It has received airplay on CBC and radio in the U.S., Asia, the UK and Australia. In December 1998 it was released in the UK on a two song enhanced CD single. From the 1996 Juno Nominated Best Children's Album. |
