About
Steve Neale
In this music of the arts-Steve Neale original compositions follow on from previously recorded demo material. Each year he has written between 10 and 20 songs,
Under this recorded music project, the songwriter has composed a collection of his audience favourites and having greater potential than previously performed works, he is also live performer.
In 2001, Sony Music, Japan requested the artist furnish future recordings with a view to a music publishing agreement. Negotiations at that stage were being conducted through the artist’s Australian manager at the time, Purple Octopus (Melbourne).
Revved up and ready to dazzle these songs from Steve Neale have record and CD quality sound. Recorded and mixed in Melbourne at the SAE studios the songs this Aussie spark about a week to capture on the studio hard drive.
A series of live performances both with a full band and acoustic followed and now the industry is being asked to guide Steve Neale along with further involvement and commitment.
Steve Neale is 31 years of age and has taken up residency in Tamworth, New South Wales where he hopes he can begin work writing for the next recording. Late April has been predicted for the new studio sessions.
This former boy scout just scrapes in on the talent side and he has plenty of enthusiasm and good humour to carry on and promises his fans that he’ll look after his golden tonsils leading up to the next studio sessions.
When asked about the newer songs he says, “there will be some more heavier tracks, a little thicker and slicker in the guitar shop and a few more easier tunes. We might even slap in some electronica over a country hook or something. Either way it’ll be worth more than your lucky $7 internet sweep…we’ll be making sure there’s no crap on it.”
Asked about the live vibe Steve Neale says “We get a little roguish in the live, you know, with the super friendlies out front we know we can up the pump and it’ll survive”.
Asked about the name that sounds like a car commercial advertisement he says, “yeah, it’s not really meant to be funny and our first real manager even said it was a little English, but we went on with it. You know, to me it is more like a message on a bottle, you know, like it could’ve been the name of a new brew except we got hold of it first”.
Steve Neale , recently gained fame with fans when he turned his tongue muscle into disc spinning and Djing for fans on the South Coast. “I spent a few months at the helm of Power FM, a radio station on the coast. You know, we watched the whales swimming up shore to migrate whilst playing live to listeners and also at the local clubs. It was kinda exciting promoting music in that way and it also gave me an appreciation of what crap the radio announcers have to put up with. You know, it was amazing how many CD’s the radio stations were receiving each week and most of the time the kids were already requesting the songs. I slipped a few of mine in their playlists and tooled around in the studios on some electronica grind..it was fun alright.”
The country seems to always be financially inaccessible for most bands and Steve Neale says “rural and regional areas are a little out of the way for most bands, but while I was staying we had The Whitlams writing an album down the road, Flea dropped in to his Australian home, a local kid got picked up for bass playing duties by The John Butler Trio and Grant Walmsley from the Jets dropped in for a few acoustic sessions, so yeah, maybe in some places but I’ve found it just as interesting. We had Cyclone Tracey and The Gadflys call up from Melbourne and both those bands had a fair turn out and up and coming politicians…ah sorry…really interested fans. The coastal route is definitely a popular stop for bands and fans get a really shimmy out of it too.”

"calm, sincere and straight after Ive finished this tinny Ill be listening to the horse races. I play it to me lady! But she only listens to the Backstreet Boys and Ja Rule."
"Better than Ive ever known it. It's better than it's ever been. I can't control it, I'm just gonna listen to it one more time again now. Love their work" Barry Sitter
"I grew up listening to Yes and The Who, so I guess I am old enough to say that if silversexy was around when I was humpin and a hoppin in the 60s, then yes!, this would have been popular like Dylan etc. For the kids of this millennium, I think they would appreciate it, but this guys up against all that rap and jazz. But I like it.
Nelson Glitter
"a runner this man. Hes the type of bloke that will put out a record and then change his tune in six months and be singing country music, and if that doesn't work for him, hell turn to singing rap or head bangin music."
"They are beautiful songs and all it takes it a real bloke like my husband, whose been singing for eight years. Anyhow, good luck."

"prognosis! Its healthy and he comes across as if he really means what he is singing about. Did he write the songs himself? Id play a couple of times, but normally I listen to the radio"
Troy Ballaste
"engine in his head is obviously working because this compact disc has something good in it. The Silvery Sexy avoids all the drab and its better to listen to this than it is to listen to some story about dead bodies in Bali. Go on and make this world a better place.
Harry Gissi
"Steve criss crosses the boundaries of simple pop and trash can punk. Punitive cry for attention and hell never get a record deal because these songs are good, but he isnt a well man. In fact hes even a little ugly on the side"
Ally Ottristen
"bland pop and I hear the lyrics. This will be a success, but not in the bush"
