The song Ego is structured around a dark chord change that is the foundation for the vocal verse and the thematic guitar-verse melody. The chorus is equally dark but echoes the sound of soulfull melodocism. Staying consistant with a common Middle Earth trademark, "Ego" ends with an uplifting conclusion that seems to transcend the dark (and seemingly negative) thematic direction of the song. The lyrical content of the song is extremely intellectual in nature. It very well could offend the novice philosopher. Read the lyrics for yourself and interperet! |
