Sarah moved to Nashville in 1999 to pursue a songwriting career. From there, it all began with a demo, which turned into an album, which evolved into a record company.
That was the chronological birth of Wide Eyed Babe Records, the singer's own label. "I used to think that indie labels where just 'for people who couldn't get major
record deals'. Then, I heard about this chick singer, Ani Difranco. The more I heard about her, the more intrigued I became until her vision for a more pure form of
creation and distribution became my vision. I even made a pilgrimage up to her label, Righteous Babe Records to see the vision fleshed out. For four years I lived in
Nashville where thousands of musicians and writers are hoping to be 'discovered'. Luckily, I discovered myself first."
