Well, as you will probably know by now, mp3.com close down on Dec. 1. So it is time to say goodbye to you, fans of electronic music all over the world. It breaks my heart to see this wonderful site for independent musicians going down. It was nice as long as it lasted, a lot of pioneering work made mp3.com a wonderful playground to find music you would never find in your local shop. Let's hope CNET make a useful follow-up at http://music.download.com/ Ofcourse, there are quite a lot of alternatives. And I do hope we will meet again somewhere sometime. I hope to see some of you at the live-presentation of my new 4CD set MONOLOGUE INTERIEUR, Sunday Dec. 14, starting 15.00 in The Nix BBBluesclub in Enschede, Holland. Or maybe we will meet (again) during my In-House-concert-series that will take place between January and April 2004, mainly in Germany. | From the forthcoming album this is something very special. There is a kind of hypnotic feel in long notes from string-instruments. As I did not find examples in classical music I decided to write a composition with long notes for strings. Unlike many othe r tracks this was really composed and arranged note for note. Featuring the wonderful Electrophonic Orchestra you get 29 minutes of hypnotic strings. This is not the definitve version, but you will have an idea what to expect. Take your time. Read the story.ô |
