A Poem (2 A Child) is indeed a poem (a Josephin original) which she later turned into a uniquely blend of childlike triplets and poetic sensitivity. This is a very modal composition and the music is utterly steered by the lyrical rhyme. This creates a very interesting and touching little song. |

Stormy Blue is a beautiful old-school Duke Ellington style tune. A GREAT Jazz allstar Band, and Josephin’s fluty full-bodied voice carries every melodic line directly into ones heart. Billy Holliday, Shade, Nina Simon and Betty Carter come to mind.
This young lady is definitely going places. |
