A Poem (2 A Child) is indeed a poem (a Josephin original) which she later turned into a uniquely blend of childlike triplets and poetic sensitivity. This is a very modal composition and the music is utterly steered by the lyrical rhyme. This creates a very interesting and touching little song.

    Story Behind the Song
This song was completely composed down to the last note (by Josephin), which can make a tune rather stiff, yet the band- as a team in whole- blew such passion and sensitivity into it that they have created, without a doubt, a new kind of jazz. To add to this fact, this song is built on one hell of a wonderful poem, giving it an original and interesting touch.

    Lyrics
    Intro:
Cry me a river/ Cry into dry ground./ Cry me a river!/ Cry baby- why don’t you cry?
Cry me a river/ Down into dry ground./
    A river/ Into dry ground.
    Body of song:
    When Shh… needs to cry
I look up straight into the sky
The sunlight helps her tears fall down
And now she floods the ground.
    When Shh... needs to laugh
Out comes the shovel to clear all the rough
    Edges
    From deep inside
    Where the monsters hide.
When her smile of magic unfolds
The sun comes out and lights the world
But the ignorant step on her heart and
    Her beautiful spirit
    Breaks a-
    Part into pieces
    The number of stars, that
Shutter her prison bars into pieces the number of stars that
    Shutter her prison bars.
Like a hand full of sand that the wind borrows
    She picks up paint
    She picks up sorrow.
    Connects the dots
(In) to a shield of reflection
Now she is safe in her field of imagination.
Shh... feels a strong need to cry
So, I look up straight into the sky
The sun bright helps her tears fall down and
Now she floods the ground. (When Shh…)
