It is said that Bach wrote most of his organ works at Weimar, and that the duke took pleasure in his playing. About May 1713 the young duke had been in Amsterdam, and may have met the blind organist J.J.de Graft who was in the habit of playing recent Italian cocertos as keyboard solos. This may have given rise to the numerous concerto arrangements made by Walther and Bach.
This piece is an organ-transcription of Vivaldi`s violin-concerto op.3 Nr.6 made by J.S.Bach.
