By Tom Bourcier, described by one listener as "Thelonious Monk meets Bela Bartok". The angular melodies and rythmic intesity of the piece are reminiscent of these composers, and the instrumentation is inspired by collaborations of Ornette Coleman and Pat Methany. I Saw Elvis combines the linear, harmonic, and rythmic capabilities of the guitar, with the virtuosic and lyrical qualities of the saxophone. |
