New Day is the fusion of different musical styles from instrumental rock to progressive heavy metal and classic music. When I wrote it I was going through a difficult time in my life, and this song gave me hopes and strength. Especially the central solo, wich is powerful and complex but at the same time moving. When you listen to it you picture a warrior after being defeated in a battle ready to fight again and win. That's the best explanation I can give, but it surely is not accurate, it doesn't refelct all the aspects of the song. Also you ought to say that the song has a unique orchestral sense because of the combination and dependence of the different instruments: acoustic guitar, electric guitars, piano, flute, bass guitar and drums.

Little Caprices is a modified fragment of Nicolo Paganini's Capriccio Nş5. It starts with an acoustic guitar and then it mixes with a distorted one. After a while the strings and the wah-wah effect appear. Some people like to think of it as a twisted classic piece. For this song the simulated models of the Roland Jazz Chorus 120 (JC-120) and Mesa Boogie amps were used (Boss GT-5). Also a little MIDI was envolved: the strings and some sounds from the SoundBlaster AWE 64 soundcard.
