META4 - - - - Live authentic computer/acoustic generated music - - - - One of the main characteristics of the music of META4 is its pluralistic nature, reflecting both the varied aesthetics, backgrounds and experiences of its composer-performers. In compositions and performances, META4 employs as 'raw' material any and all acoustic objects to be found in the world--instrumental sounds, simple concrete or synthesized sounds, appropriated and composed music, spoken word, natural phenomena, etc. This material is reworked before becoming embedded into so-called 'proto-compositions' which are then called upon in live performance. It is a music that is not only an architecture of sound in time but also a landscape of these architectures, a network of the multidimensional associations that may be conveyed by sound.
