Folk Music Fans Unite! Main Street Beer Company will be the backdrop for the much anticipated release of Amy Henderson’s new album, “Back Down” on Saturday, September 27th at 9:00 p.m.
Originally from Atlanta, GA, Amy has graced the stages of various Richmond venues since her arrival in town in 1996. A member of the Floating Folk Festival, and regular performer at Shenanigan's and Babe's among many other Fan and Bottom watering holes, Henderson has delighted audiences around town with her catchy vocals and rhythmic guitar and growling harmonica. “Back Down” was recorded under the talented and watchful eyes and ears of John Morand at Sound of Music Studios and features Amy Henderson backed by Chris Schup on drums, John Vondra on guitar, and Dave Zeus Henderson on bass.
The CD release party at Main Street Beer Company will feature additional new band members John Leedes, Rad Burt, and John Priestly. Come see the artist that Richmond.com describes as “rhythmic buoyant folk rock [that] has a big heart all its own, distinguished by Henderson’s rich, smoky voice."
