Story Behind the Song
I thought of the phrase "photograph eyes" in college and finally lived enough to put words to the title.
Lyrics
You left me so alone, You left me heartbroken
You left me blue as blue can be
You left me chokin’, On words half-spoken
And I don’t know why you’d do this to me
CHORUS:
And I don’t know why you tell me all those lies
And I don’t know why you just criticize (can’t Empathize, Sympathize)
And all I got is you starin’ through those photograph eyes.
You left that picture now all I do is miss ya
And oh those things you did to me
I’d say I love you but Im afraid of you
And of what you could do to me.
Chorus/ Break
Im in my basement lookin’ for a replacement
of the one that’s done me oh so wrong
Well, one things for certain, I still got my Bourbon
But hell I guess you knew that all along
