'As a former tabloid music journalist and A&R scout for a medium sized californian rock label, I still maintain to this day that Boomshanker have more potential than any other band on the scene over the last 3 years.'
Razor Milinsky -Deputy Editor, 'Live and Loud'
.
In their short time, Boomshanker have played the Cavern and a multitude of venues from Newyork to London. Scouted by a Japanese radio station, the band was invited to Yokohama for a prime time interview. 'Foreign Land' was placed onto a compilation album which subsequently sold over 35,000 copies in Japan.
"Bright Green Washing Machine" was played on regional ITV station, Meridian. SKY TV's'Whereits.at' got in contact with the band and the boomshanker played two of their tracks for broadcast. Radio 1's Steve Lamacq also heard the song "L.F.D." and it was promptly played on his Evening unsigned show, describing the sound as "having it's own distinctive sound".
The band has been working alongside Keith Scully (sound engineer to Ian Brown, The Streets, Marilyn Manson, Foo Fighters) who is now a very close and personal friend of the boys. The band have also worked with Gavin Monaghan who has produced The Smiths, Massive Attack and Miss Black America.
Italys answer to TOP OF THE POPS (Milan - Rolling Stone Club) will be giving the Mediterranean some Boomshanker and Boomshanker will be giving the Italians some real U.K. Boomshanker have won the coveted 2003 U.K Academy of Sounds Battle of the Bands. Regular gig venues include 'The Birmingham Academy 2', The Pepsi chart shows 'SOUND' in Leicester Square London and O'Galas and The Raven in Newyork City.
