firetrucs are a 3-piece indie rock band from Minneapolis. The band was formed in late 2000 and has since toured the Midwest and California. firetrucs have shared the stage with Grant Hart (of Husker Du), Janis Figure, Houston, The Waking Hours, Light FM, Woolworthy, Zero to Nine, Snails, and other regional heroes. The band's first album, the "Space Loaf LP" was put out on Secret Fire Records (Chicago, IL) in December 2001. The staggering "Hovercraft LP" was released in May, 2002 and features Veruca Salt's Louise Post on guest vocals, as well as producers Jacques Wait (Beatifics, Mark Mallman, Semisonic) and Brent Sigmeth (They Might Be Giants, Kelley Deal). The ten-song album about girls, cars, and rock delves into familiar firetrucs sonic territory, but shows a more dynamic, more mature and impressive side of firetrucs. The album has made steady progress onto radio stations all over America, and stands as one of the most important indie releases of 2002. Buy it here
"Firetrucs are my favorite new band. The [Space Loaf LP] plays like a dream - laden with infectious pop hooks and lilting lullabies, with Armageddon guitars around every corner. The band rocks like a runaway train, relentless and majestic. Expect to be floored."
Louise Post, Veruca Salt
"What do Firetrucs sound like? Picture this... a combination of Nirvana (if Kurt didn't blow off his head), Everclear (if Art was still on drugs) and the Foo Fighters (when Pat was still in the band, and they rocked). Firetrucs are what rock radio is missing!"

"Firetrucs singer and guitarist, Tony Parks, actually parks fire trucks! [They] made my life easy...good guys, funny jokes, good music, potential instant classic (PIC)."
