A tribute to our officers of law, our firemen and all those who have served in our armed services. I'd also like to make a special dedication of this song to my husbands cousin Whitehall Police Officer Terry Mc Dowell who was fatally wounded in the line of duty August 24, 2001. Terry was an Army veteran, serving as an MP and a member of the Whitehall Police Honor Guard. Along with his patrol duties he was a loving father, husband and friend to all. |

Have you ever been with your special someone and caught them looking at someone else?... And did they ever say to you that.... "As long as you look but you don't touch then it's alright?"... Did those words make you feel like........ "Nobody" |

My Mother lived her life for God and became an ordained minister. When I wrote this song I wrote it as if I were seeing the world through her eyes. She loved it so much she made me promise that when her time came that I would sing it at her funeral. Didn't seem like too much to ask at the time. So I promised her I would. Turned out to be the hardest thing that I ever had to do in my life. I kept my promise. I sang this song one last time for my Mother as they lowered her casket down into the ground. Mommy your little girl love's you and this one's for you. Glory Jane |

I wrote this song year's ago and kept it to myself. I don't think I ever sang it for anyone outside of my family. It's always been my own special healing song. At the time's in my life that I felt I was at my lowest point I would pick up my guitar and sing this song to myself and it always lifted me up. I hope that by my sharing it, that it can lift you up and do the same for you. Gloria Jane |
