Paula Jo Taylor and Legacy is the Midwest's
freshest approach to country entertainment.
Paula Jo is the daughter of country music legend,
Joe Taylor. Her dad entertained throughout the
Midwest with his popular band, The Red Birds, for
more than 50 years, leaving her a LEGACY to continue
his respected tradition in the music scene. Along
with her brother Dan,she and the Legacy band have
become a favorite at fairs, festivals, and clubs
throughout the area. The group features the 5
string banjo picking and vocals of Dean Crum; Dale
Dodson on bass guitar and vocals; Arnie Gambrel on
steel guitar and vocals; Dan Taylor on drums and
vocals; and the Midwest's best female lead guitarist
Paula Jo Taylor, whose vocals and high energy
fiddle playing, add spirited versatility to the
group. Legacy can satisfy any audience, playing
modern and traditional country mixed with a high
energy blue grass flare. They also add some oldies,
southern rock and Texas swing to the pot for a
super and unique sound. The band's demand and
popularity is enhanced by the frequent appearance
of Paula Jo and Dan's dad, Joe Taylor and Aunt
Patty Corbett, as well as the fabulous vocals of
Paula's daughter, Amanda.

This is one of Legacy's most requested songs. A beautiful heartfelt ballad about a girl who will not put up with her man cheating any more. Though he tries to tell her it's all a misunderstanding she's had enough and lets him know she is no longer Miss Understanding. |

This song was written in 1998 when Paula first started getting into the "computer scene." She took the song to Nashville and pitched it to major artists but it was just a little too soon for the computer age to be incorporated in a song at that time. In recent years however, other artists such as Alan Jackson have proven that no longer to be the case. The song is about a girl who leaves her man, on his terms, since he spends more time on the computer then he does with her. It's catchy and fun! |
