After spending some 50 years working as a professional organist, I decided to retire, not from life, but from the demands of the large church music program. As a career which started in early television to help pay for my education, it quickly accelerated into wonderful opportunities to serve the community and the church.
Now that some time has passed since my retirement, my mind is quieted and able to appreciate the truly enjoyable moments of my long career. So, for my FIRST recording, I have chosen the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, the "father of church music." He left his legacy of some 200 cantatas, plus volumes of instrumental and keyboard music. His devotion to God is found in such inscriptions as: In the Name of Jesus; To God Alone be the Glory.
