Vocalist/Bassist Mary Ann chose to do an updated remake of the 16th Century English carol, "The Coventry Carol".
Q: So, Mare, why did you pick this song for us?
A: "I had done it in a choir years ago. It's a very traditional sounding piece that sticks out in your head. It's not your typical "Fa La La" holiday tune. "This Renaissance carol is named after the city of Coventry, England. The 15th Century Pageant of the Shearmen and Tailors, which was performed in Coventry, depicted Herod's slaughter of the innocent children." On that note, Happy Holidays!
