The Corvairs blazed out of Boulder, Colorado in 1978. Along with The Ravers, Johnny Three, and Defex, they were one of the Rocky Mountain state's top New Wave rock bands of that era. Later the band moved to San Francisco and then New York city becoming vital members of those respective punk scenes in the late 70s and early 80s.
The band were regular performers at such venues as the infamous Denver punk rock club "Malfunction Junction" and San Francisco's "Mabuhay Gardens" and "Deaf Club". Later in the mid 80s the band released the critically acclaimed LP HITCHHIKER for the French Label New Rose.
Available here exclusively at mp3.com the new CD DENVER SESSIONS '79 presents the band's first recordings from Denver's Freewheelin' Studios in June of '79 and from New York the following summer. Also included are two bonus tracks from Joey Vain and Scissors the Boulder band that predated The Corvairs.
