hi. um... there's not much here at the moment cause i seem to be unable to finish songs on my own. but hopefully that will change and you'll all be able to see my poppier side. who knows, i might just stick some unfinished stuff up here, just for you perusal. at any rate, everything on this site at the moment was made entirely improvisationally (you know, like "whose line is it anyway?" but with music and not funny. well... hopefully.)most of it falls into the "ambient" category, but if you want to get nitpicky, you can call it experimental improv or experimental environments. at least, those are the audiogalaxy music genres i seem to fit in, and that works for me. not that i get some kind of cheap thrill out of boxing myself in, but let's face it: we all sound like someone else. anyone who claims they don't is just jerking themselves off or just don't listen to enough music to have heard their peers.

this music is my attempt at originality. i'm a huge music geek and i find that the more artists i check out and become familiar with, the clearer it becomes that there really are *very* few avenues to take, musically, and create something entirely new and original. so, even though the music hosted here now isn't exactly groundbreaking and innovative, i'm hoping that, in time, it will lead me to something that is. so, i hope you can enjoy what's here for what it is. i wouldn't even call them songs. just... pieces of sonic experimentation. it just so happens that a good deal of it is kinda cool to listen to and can be quite a headtrip.

i have to apologize if i come off as pretentious, snobbish, or any synonym of those words. i just want people to be able to enjoy what i've made and in order to do so, you kinda have to "step outside the box", so to speak, which tends to lead to snobbery. with that said, give it all a listen. hopefully hi-fi or downloaded. since it's the sounds themselves that make these pieces interesting, to listen on lo-fi pretty much kills what makes them kinda neat. but hey, you're gonna do what you're gonna do. i just hope you like it.
