Steve Robison a.k.a. Dj ZiNJA is the DJ, designer, and remixer who has done more than anyone else to bring trance and progressive trance music to thousands of listeners in Michigan. Born in Ann Arbor in 1979, ZiNJA began mixing at the young age of 14 and in 1996 he hooked up with Rusch Entertainment Agency out of Flint, Michigan. ZiNJA has been known to take crowds on a personal journey with his unique progressive trance sets and has spun with the likes of CDX and Tony Bliss. In 1998 he released his first mix compilation Hand Spun which proved that not only can he flawlessly mix trance but many other kinds of tunes as well. ZiNJA has been compared to such talented artists as Michael Myers from Philadelphia and was a huge success at parties such as Beat Freaks Y2K, Pheel, Get Together, Tribal Roots, and the extremely successful Dominant Species party. In 2000-01 ZiNJA spent some time in Philadelphia improving his remixing skills at the highly successful Millennium Sound Studios. Earlier this year he came out with his first trance single Ominous Being. The following month he changed direction and combined trance with booty in his Ass N’ Titties remix. His latest compilation The Unity of Art and Science also proved to be extremely popular and has earned him a lot of credit in the DJ world.
