![]() ![]() ![]() Frank Hardwick, soloist, singer/songwriter, poet, bass player/lead singer of the Bow Street Runners, passed away on Tuesday, 8 January 2002, apparently from complications due to pneumonia. All are saddened by his death and will greatly miss his wit, friendship and leadership. To Frank-- I met Frank in North Carolina in Southern Pines He was playing guitar and singing and sounding fine I said Hey Buddy how about doing some kind of funny magic track Anything for my jeering fans he said I'm Frank Hardwick He gave me belly laughs at Jimmy's Firehouse Pub Frank was passing out old time rock and roll and peace and love He was one of those musicians who had to fight off all the chicks You're Mister Entertainment I yelled you're a first class act Frank Hardwick Then I saw him again up in Daxwood Recording Studio Doyle said Bill meet Frank I said Frank I love your show Do you think you can help my poems my music's kind of sick I've heard you can perform miracles Mister Frank Hardwick He picked up his bass guitar and said Bill listen to this I rolled on the floor he was giving me laughing fits Frank I said Old Buddy one day maybe with your help I'll have a hit It's so much fun playing with you you're Great Frank Hardwick When I heard he passed away I was so distressed To Frank's family friends and fans I say Frank was one of the best To me he was the funniest every time I hear him I get a kick I still laugh my ass off when I think about Frank Hardwick.
