An early Masque song. Completely reworked by Patrick. This song is about the utter distatste of human relations and the lies that predominate them. |

Aggressive drum machine and guitar on the edge of feedback. One of my personal favoriyes. This version was saved from a rotting cassette tape. This is from the last days of Masque when the distortion and volume got cranked as well as the lyrical imagery: a fascination with the cheap, sleazy, trashy, and intoxicating. |

We loved it - they hated it! That may be the best way to sum up Low Down. It was the child of a bottle of Old Crow and pent up aggravation. This is the result of too many people meddling in the breaking up of a relationship - I got to answer the accusations. Patrick squeezed the blues lick out of some dark and foreboding place in his psyche. It all came together. Recorded in June 1992. |
