deepnoia, a one-man-only electronic music project from Portugal, was born, both while designation and musical power, in 1997. (Having been generating since 1994).
Sounds that range from Breakbeat to Electro, from Drum´n´Bass to House, from Hip to Trip-Hop, from Big Beat to Techno, can be associated, as references or influences, to the music of deepnoia.
The common denominator is the vast and comprehensive concept of electronic music. deepnoia´s sonority is anchored in electronic textures, regardlessly of the beats´ cataloguing. Their stengh (or violence?) becomes the essential element here - hence the name of the present demo series: "Rhythmica".
In December 2000, a couple of Portuguese Music dedicated radio shows elected the demo "Rhythmica#1 (Work In Progress 2000)" as one of the best in 2000!
"Rhythmica#2 (No . Karamello)" is out (begining of April), in a not so distant future from "Rhythmica#1", and in wich the compositions are more strong and mature, with more character. Always "big shakes".

Originally intended to include rap vocals, it ended up becoming a powerful instrumental! It features a bassline from a distorted Roland SH-101. |
