A peice for string quartet which was originally part of the 'four peices', but i've decided to leave it out due to its impossibility to perform. However, I think it's interesting enough to leave on the site. Samples are from John Zorns Naked City (Blood is Thin)and the Sallie Martin Singers (He's a Battle Axe), and of course its respective beatles track 'When I'm 64'). The amp is a Soldano SLO. |

Very quiet duet in head form. Here the whole thing is performed, but in concert the musicians are cued to perform certain phrases by the sounds occuring naturally in the room. for example, if there is a distant car horn outside the space, one performer will play section B, or whatever. if not, that section will not be played at all. between cues are the quiet little ambient sounds you hear here. First in a series of peices designed for the meditation of the performer and the audience. |
