Jovian Moon was formed from the remnants of the band Silent Reign. Silent Reign was an El Paso band that was well known and played the El Paso club scene from October 92 to December 1993. After a small fall out with band members, the band disbanded but reformed again in the summer of 94 with a new drummer. The band formally broke up in February of 1995. It was a couple of months later that guitarist ( me) Hector Morales and Bassist Dave Hayman decided to write some original material. Jovian Moon was born in the summer of 97 with Richard Gerome ( ex Silent Reign Drummer) and Jake Peterson on guitar. Now the band only continues with Hector Morales on guitar and Vocals, anyone in the El Paso area that is a Bassist, Guitarist, or Drummer that enjoys this style of music please contact me, maybe we can get this project going.

This is a pretty cool tune built on a weird drum riff. With a real drummer I am sure the song would rock even more.
The Intro guitar riff is an arpeggiated A9...pretty neat little riff. |

This song has a pretty cool drop D intro Riff that was inspired by a Garageband.com band I dig called "Annie Makes It Big" I sort of put a cheap keyboard line in using my Boss Dr Rhythm Section...sort of cheesey but hey, I don't have a nice Korg or Roland.
Anyway, the song in a rocker, and with out a guitar solo ( a first for me).
Enjoy. |

Well this song is definately "old School". I took all my Maiden influences, as well as AC/DC and sort of melted them into this tune. I kind of dig the droning bass riff during the Verses.
