Track #1 from the CD "Bagpipes of the World;" this is a bellows-blown bagpipe, heard today especially in the Czech Republic. Here, two tunes are presented: "Sean's Call to the Pipes" (original composition) and "Rejovaka" (a traditional dance tune). |

Track #2 from the CD "Bagpipes of the World;" this large French bagpipe is often heard together, as it is here, with an accompanying Vielle a Roue (wheel-fiddle or hurdy-gurdy). Here the Vielle is played by a veteran master of the instrument, Arrigo D'Albert of Switzerland and Northern California. Sean and Arrigo demonstrate the great power of these two ancient acoustic instruments with two traditional tunes: "Rigadon Bressan" and "Ton Ruban Bleu." As always on this CD, the bagpipe is first heard alone, so the listener can identify it. |
