Eckankore was founded in Los Angeles in early 1996 with the purpose of presenting live sound demonstrations and creating disequilibrium. Involved throughout its history at various times and places have been E.J. Nervo, Ron Korelin, Emerson Balla, Chuck Foster, Kris Andersen, and Paul Malcolm. Never wanting to tax an over-stressed marketplace or extort the world memory bank, Eckankore has a discography that is mercifully small. It consists of: a split 7" e.p with Musicide (released by Kill Music in 1996), the retrospective CDR "A Brief Account of Nonissues" (released by MPAE) and the Mp3 CD "No Symbols Where None Intended"; There have also been contributions to the compilations "No Structure #3" ( The Instagon Foundation), Noise Kills Punk Dead and the LoveEarthMusic release Best of Various. Note: many of Eckankore's Mp3's have been moved here
