This track for instance, DisposeAble, utilizes the magic and intrigue of the AM radio, brought once again back to life from its seeming dormant state, by basically being rebroadcast, using a completely different technology. Spooky isn't it?OK, maybe not spooky, but most assuredly interesting, as any track that incorporates this sort of theme will bring the teeming listeners closer to that which is being replicated. In other words, it is possible to compact anywhere from a few seconds to close to a century of history simply by slicing up radio broadcasts and inserting them strategically within the framework of a song. brain:blood:volum's offering proves to solidify this stance by representing here the polarity of the religious right in Middle America. The teeming listener is able to now bond to that ideology by hearing and assimilating the referential snippets that cover this track. Not to mention that the electronic work in every brain:blood:volum effort is superb, but this is a bright reminder of the earlier endeavors pursued by Stephen Tischler, Cabaret Voltaire, and more modern dark masterpieces by Spies in the Wires."
