This is a funky little melody that just of rolls along with lots of different sound textures (vibes, Fender Rhodes, and of coursesax solos). |

The title selection of the album is in fact, lighter than air! It is a jazz waltz with a melody that is very hummable and infectious. There are some interesting tonalities here that keep the listener floating along (check out the bass solo!). |

This is one "bridegroom" with an edge! It starts out with the sax, piano and bass playing a unison line that is a dark variation on the melody Here Comes the Bride from Mendelssohn's Wedding March and goes (way) off from there! All the soloists get into this one. Marriage must certainly have a lot of meaning for all concerned and they all get to say something about it on this tune. |
