This is one of 7 trio tunes on the CD. This is dedicated to the often overlooked great bebop pianist, Elmo Hope. I am fortunate to have George Fludas, currently with the Ray Brown trio, on drums, and the very swinging Bob Siegel on bass. |

This is a song I wrote soon after visiting China. There are several melodies in China that are named "Song of Happiness". I was very inspired from my experiences of my trip. This is also dedicated to the great pianist, McCoy Tyner. |

This song was written at a time when I was searching for inspiration after my divorce. I was imagining the most beautiful Ellington, Coltrane, and Herbie Hancock as I wrote this. Pat Mallinger really captures the spirit of the song on tenor. |
