This is a song I wrote soon after visiting China. There are several melodies in China that are named "Song of Happiness". I was very inspired from my experiences of my trip. This is also dedicated to the great pianist, McCoy Tyner. |

Story Behind the Song
This whole CD was self produced. Meaning that I purchased an old 4-track reel to reel and mixer and recorded and mixed it myself. I was somewhat limited by the fact I could use only one microphone for four horns. It's a testament to their musicianship the the balance between the horns was so good as I couldn't mix them afterward. I'm also indebted to them for putting up with being in my living room without AC on a boiling hot day in Chicago!
