This music is a blend of Electric Jazz, Smooth Jazz, Fusion, R&B, Rock and whatever else is in there.
Thank you to all for making "Jars" and "Barbars Kingdom" #1 Songs on the Jazz charts and I.L.D, #1 on the Electric Blues charts. "Hush" and "Scowam" have come really close a bunch too, #5, #9, #11 etc, but never #1.

LA party fusion.
this is consistantly one of my most requested, most played tunes. It gets the most retail plays as well.
I actually worte this rather quickly after a rehearsal with a friend of mine from LA a really good tenor saxplayer and all around "total character", Kevin O'Connor. I was in a good mood, inspried and the tune was right there asking me to write it down, so i did.
thanks for the pick-ups Kevin, i haven't put them in yet, but i will,... | MP3.com CD: Roar - buy it! MP3.com CD: Dazz - buy it! MP3.com CD: My Picks - buy it!

Vermont Fusion
I like this tune alot but it doesn't get a lot of listens. I really like the energy and "happy vibe" to it. I wrote this long ago, when i played more traditional jazz but i never knew what to do with it or how to play it until we started playing this more electric electic energetic style, then it kind of "fell together". I really love what Jim Bove (Drums) plays on this, i think it makes the tune. | MP3.com CD: Roar - buy it! MP3.com CD: My Picks - buy it!

Totally "stretched out", "opened up", up-tempo "big sounding" tune.
I actually wrote this in about 15 minutes, i was visiting my mom in vermont for christmas one year and i was feelin' real good and just 'jammin' away, i came up with this little line and chord progression and it "just felt really good", so i wrote it down. I think it's best asset is it's tempo, it just seems to work, there's actually not much to the tune itself, and we didn't really play the head very well, we had only played this tune twice before we recorded it, live in the studio. It's quirky but people seem to like it. (This, by the way, is one of the tunes i will have a lead sheet of on my new website when it is finished, www.davidwrightmusic.com) | MP3.com CD: Dazz - buy it! MP3.com CD: My Picks - buy it!
