This has been a really incredible year for me so far. I played for 52,000 people at the Rice Eccles Stadium for the Closing Ceremonies of the 2002 Winter Olympics and Willie Nelson signed my guitar. What more could I ask for? I guess a record deal on a cool indie label would be nice.I've had lots of great feedback on my new song Shining On, and right now that really means a lot to me. This is the kind of song I love writing. The history of our land, our pain as a country, the reality of what happened and my own personal struggle with life is all combined into those words. I pray for our world in hopes that one day we can all live in a safe, creative and caring place..For now, I know music is the only way for me to even begin to crack that shell of hate that holds us all back from truly evolving.
