Tragedies continued and testimony grew as miracles unfolded in her life while she continued to sing. Her motivational and inspiring story and proof of what endless faith can do, began when her family lost everything in a fire and received an important lesson on the unimportance of material things. She also was given a deeper look into the most often misunderstood lives of the youth when her son was falsly accused of starting their fire. Coping with the stress of it all, a few weeks later, he crashed his car into a church when he was run off the road at a high rate of speed. Said to be a dying vegetable, LeFerna's son Travis was in a coma six weeks. She kept headphones on him with his own style of music but with a comforting Christian message attached.

LeFerna wrote the song "God Loves You More" and sang it to him every night. One day, just before his twenty first birthday he was seen tapping his toe to the beat of the Christian music. From that day, LeFerna watched in awe as he learned to sit up, eat, dress himself, talk, and walk again for the second time in his life by holding on to what little bit of faith he had left. A positive testimony that faith is powerful no matter how small it may be. Just one year after specialists said his brain injury was so severe he would die or only live as a vegetable, he enrolled in a major university where he is earning a degree in chemistry.

Today, LeFerna's focus is on the faith of a mustard seed in her ministry, but also knows these things have all happened to her for a reason. Promoting Christian music for youth has become a big part of her ministry as she was given a first hand look at how it played such a large role in saving her son's life. LeFerna also hopes to do some support work for the brain injured.

LeFerna's desperate search to clear her son's name, (and her husband's, whom they placed the blame once Travis was in a coma) led her to do investigative writing about innocent arson victims who are in prison for crimes they did not commit. She has met many victims who are sadly used by bias, power-abusing people to "win" cases in their unfair games with people's lives that carry into court rooms where swearing on the Bible is a thing of the past. LeFerna supports other victims whom experts can also prove are innocent, and good lawyers could free if they were only given this luxury before being thrown into a spiderweb of our far from perfect judicial system as she was. Educating on the evil that lies within some insurance companies is only the beginning.
