Story Behind the Song
Born in 1955, LeFerna spent twenty five years in music, traveling the road in 42 of the 50 US states playing in some of the larger secular scenes in the country. She's been there, done that... but always ran into one road block after another when she was about to succeed in her career.
"It took me all these years to find out I was heading in the wrong direction! I don't know if I am ever meant to succeed in music... but I do know now that I was meant to PLANT seed...." she says. This is how she came up with "Mustard Seed Minsitry"
Today she claims she sings this song about herself hoping others will catch on before they wonder forty years in the wilderness too!
Lyrics
He Knew
Who would have ever known
after forty years,
you'd still be here,
righting your wrongs?
Who'd have ever known,
you'd be born again,
freed from sin,
turning trials into songs?
(Chorus)
He Knew, Yes He knew
The Good work he planted in you.
He waited, and forgave,
even though you had been saved,
until the harvest,
He watched over in you,
finally grew.
He Knew.
Who would have ever known
you'd find a way,
deep within someday,
how He could be served?
Who'd have ever known
what He'd begun
in you'd be done
before He returned?
(Repeating Chorus)
He Knew, Yes He knew
The Good work he planted in you.
He waited, and forgave,
even though you had been saved,
until the harvest,
He watched over in you,
finally grew.
He Knew.
He Knew
He Knew
He Knew
