This is the short English version of the song Christmas 2000, mostly recorded at Randy Davis' Douglas Island Studio in late 1999 and remixed around Thanksgiving 2000. |

The original 48 minute ambient piece called Christmas 1999 is just the background loops you hear in this mix. It seemed to cry out for more, and this mix is how I originally envisioned (heard?) the expanded version. Liza Lavrushna did the Russian translation with the help of her friend, Oksana Kadichigova. Without them, this song would not have reached this stage of development. |

This is my favorite version of this song. Both the Douglas Island Mix and the Vladivostok Mix end by fading out after the spoken word section. This version goes on to include a triple-chambered ocarina drone that leads into an e-bow meltdown. Enjoy! |
