Are the events of 11 September 2001 'Revelation'-type events? It is clear from the scriptures that the events from Revelations are designed to make increasingly clear the dividing line between good and evil until the Lord comes to finally judge that difference. If 11 September did that, then it is a 'Revelations' event. But then it is important to rise from our sorrow and grasp our opportunity to work with Him and proclaim the gospel amongst unbelievers. Our prayers are with those who do that under dangerous circumstances!

| God had now created a set of natural laws which under these conditions could not fail to produce life in abundance on the ground, underground, in the treetops...as the mystery of life unfolds, new challenges in the environment bring around the development of new species. Even if this happens randomly, then the programme to produce the random numbers was divine, and it produced indescribeable beauty...yet there was more to come. The logical culmination was the ultimate development of a sentient creature with a will of it's own - anything, even to divert the course of evolution, was the culmination of abilities developed over millions of years in this sixth phase. For the ultimate glory was for that glory to be given unprogrammed due to the ultimate motivational force ever created...love. God wants to be loved, just like we do, not because He needs it, but because...There is nothing malignant about creating a free spirit to suffer the consequences of his own will. But to temper those consequences, He opened for this creature the door to escape the laws of nature and the reality of this creation, to ultimately attain the next level - heaven was the final habitat created for man and God to permanently live out this ultimate thing created - love agapè. And this sixth phase,teeming of life, would last until there was to come a phase which would transcend the nature of phases, the seventh day.... | |

| When I was as a wave before the wind, blown as directed by its whims I learned with surprise of one who steps on the water without sinking; this has become my mission, to become knowlegeably akin to Him in my unique way. And of the two possible solutions to this great equation I choose with weakness but of my own will, the one which gives substance to this deepest truth or assumption of my soul: that this puny existence is not all and it is not enough, there is much more, and the largest whole will be perfectly just. For the alternative is that I am a freak of big bang evolution, a thing that came into being purely by coincidence with the ability to organise itself into indescribeable beauty or indescribeable repulsiveness, an alternative where the only justice is that of the victor, normally the strongest in one arbitrary aspect, of the local party. I choose the first alternative in Jesus the son of God who gave his life mysteriously so that I can have this option. No other God speaks to me in words that go further than this puny existence - they are all generals or gluttons, but this one I know is the true God. | |

| By now there were habitats containing the elements necessary for amino acids and fitting the conditions for the grand design of life, a living design of divine logic, the work of a Master. It took many millions of our years for the first complex organism to evolve in this pre-arranged way, probably in water, in a sea or in a puddle. First to exit the sea and evolve temporarily on land to become a bird, were the amphibious reptile, the dinosaur that passed away but left the sky teeming with life. Meanwhile, slowly but surely, more complex creatures became ready to finally inhabit the land permanently. And it was marvellous, but the final triumph of creation was still coming in the next phase...Compare Genesis 1: 20 to 23. | |
