	When I was as a wave before the wind, blown as directed by its whims I learned with surprise of one who steps on the water without sinking; this has become my mission, to become knowlegeably akin to Him in my unique way. And of the two possible solutions to this great equation I choose with weakness but of my own will, the one which gives substance to this deepest truth or assumption of my soul: that this puny existence is not all and it is not enough, there is much more, and the largest whole will be perfectly just. For the alternative is that I am a freak of big bang evolution, a thing that came into being purely by coincidence with the ability to organise itself into indescribeable beauty or indescribeable repulsiveness, an alternative where the only justice is that of the victor, normally the strongest in one arbitrary aspect, of the local party. I choose the first alternative in Jesus the son of God who gave his life mysteriously so that I can have this option. No other God speaks to me in words that go further than this puny existence - they are all generals or gluttons, but this one I know is the true God.
