When Dan Zweben and Dave Hemann met in Los Angeles in 2002, they found something in each other that was lacking in the Los Angeles music community; Songwriting ability and good down home pop sensibility. Dan, originally from Milwaukee and Dave from Cleveland, both grew up on a healthy dose of rock that spoke to them. That too was their aim and the duo started writing songs together playing acoustic shows and building a devoted fanbase through their catchy songs and their smart lyrics. When Drummer Justin Meyer, formerly of Fluid Ounces met Dan at a party they instantly clicked. Justin joined the band bringing with him long time friend Ethan Phillips on Bass. The Band has since played at venues such as the Mint, The Viper Room, The Roxy and the Knitting Factory.
HITS Magazine picked up on the band calling them The suddenly in-demand troubadour of 2002. Zweben has been featured on a roster of television shows late in 2002 including The Real World, Road Rules, The Unbelievable Truth and other nationally syndicated productions. Most recently the track Seems was used as the theme song in the Movie June which currently has European distribution.
