Paging Raymond Introduction
Equal parts rock swagger and country stomp, Paging Raymond lie comfortably between Ryan Adams and
Old 97's, casually inserting their Jayhawks-inspired harmonies into the mix for good measure. From the
wounded urgency of "Numb" to the mid-tempo come-on of "Wake Up Caroline' to the stomping kiss-off of
"Anchor," Bridges Left To Burn is the impressive sophmore release from Indianapolis' Paging Raymond.

The album's opening track is th laid-back “Fall Away” which is typical Paging Raymond fare, with Jim Borders’ shimmery mandolin and classic Tim Wilsbach and Aaron Adelsperger harmonies. Enough can’t be said about the sublime harmonies these two produce together. Their voices mesh so well you’d think it’s the same person double-tracking their own voice. |

With the wounded urgency of Numb Paging Raymond’s sound shines with dark electric guitars, haunting organ, and driving rhythm.Despite lyrics like “I’m almost numb again/If I wait a little longer/I won’t feel a thing/Where do we begin?”, the song retains a hopeful quality, through the acoustic guitar & vocal harmonies Wilsbach and Adelsperger provide to the chorus. |
