Reviews |
Brett Wisniewski -"They're pretty dope...I think their CD is pretty cool. They sounded really good for being in high school. I think they have a future, they can go far."
Erin Crison -"Catalyst has developed a unique sound, which not only entertains the listener with great bass and strong drums; it also weaves a story with its lyrics. Each of their songs featured on their CD, tells a tale of someone who has either given up on life or had life give up on them. The lyrics are instrumental in reaching other young people who may be facing similar problems. The music on the CD switches from lively and upbeat to melodramatic, proving that this band is not limited to one style of music."
Jonathan Sanders of Bent Twig Productions -"HOLLOW-4.0/5.0--- This song has a nice mood to it, and I like the guitar and the vocals, although I can hear a bit much as far as background sound . . . most of this can be taken out easily...I think this song has promise, and you guys could do very well" "CHANGE YOUR WAYS-4.2/5.0---I like the background more than the lyrics, which is unusual for me, but it's not anything that's really bad about the song, more of my own asthetic preferences. I dig the guitar's dynamic changes, going from a softer beginning to the harder chorus. Good stuff, guys." "I AM-4.8/5.0---This is the best of your songs I have heard yet . . . I and my father have both gone through servere depression, and I can tell you that having the actual feelings written down to hear is a great thing. When you use the line "Falling and senses are reeling, making me feel fucked up inside again," you are expressing your character's emotions. I don't think you should apologize for that. And I don't feel that messed up is a good substitute for fucked up in this case."
