Prelude in Blood Minor is a three-movement neoclassical, hard rock piece composed by VALEDICTION founder & keyboardist, Joseph Anastacio Glean. It was recorded in the summer of 1996 and released on CD in January of 1997. We offer you here the 1st Movement... a fast-paced, keyboard-shredding, all-fingers-flyin' portion of the prelude entitled, Allegro. This 1st movement showcases some of the most intense, lightning-fast arpeggios Joe has ever recorded, so sit back and get ready to hear some burnin' boards! |

Here we have the second installment of Joseph Anastacio Glean's Prelude in Blood Minor for your listening pleasure. This, the 2nd Movement, is a melodic yet arpeggio-filled portion of the prelude entitled, Adagio. As you listen, notice how the haunting melody, upon which this movement is based, builds into an exciting and fantastic climax as the movement begins to come to a close. The finely harmonized arpeggios also add a special element to this movement. More importantly, this 2nd Movement sets a wonderful mood for the Prelude's finale, which is the 3rd and final movement of this 20th century masterpiece. We apologize, incidentally, that the 3rd Movement is not yet available on-line. Although each movement has a life of it's own, the absence of the 3rd Movement does somewhat of a disservice to the Prelude as a whole. Nevertheless, students and fans of Jason Becker should pay close attention to this 2nd Movement! This one's for you!! |
